Since 2016, the rate in which Chinese distributed photovoltaic and micro grid energy storage industries have been expanding at can only be described as explosive. This is especially noticeable in coastal provinces such as Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, Guangdong, and Anhui, etc. Due to this rapid growth, CNE Media hosted the first China Distributed Energy Summit in 2017.
Although the Chinese domestic PV market had to endure the challenges presented by “Policy 531” in 2018, the distributed PV market still showed strength through its relatively fast growth; the state's policy on photovoltaics has shown that more funding will be funneled from the construction of power stations to better support distributed PV’s growth and potential.
However, there are still many problems that need to be addressed in order to better promote distributed PV technology and products. It is for this reason CNEMEDIA initiated the China Distributed Innovation Summit to discuss issues and solutions pertaining to topics including distributed photovoltaics, energy storage, charging piles and distributed innovation models. At the same time, CDNS looks to help China meet its pledged emission targets by bringing distributed PV mainstream through innovative systems such as green finance, characteristic towns, PPP, and web promotional materials.
